Bengaluru, Aug 26: The underworld has raised its ugly head yet again in the city without fearing the night-beat police. On the late night of Sunday, August 25, two people were killed in filmy style in the middle of a main road, which has shaken the city.
Thamma Manja, a rowdy sheeter and Naveen, son of a builder are the ones who were killed brutally. Naveen had been for dinner with Manja to Tandoor hotel at J P Nagar in the city. When both were going by scooter after having dinner, they were killed on the 24th main road of J P Nagar at around 11.30 pm.

A Hyundai i20 car hit the Activa scooter on which Manja and Naveen were travelling from behind. The strangers, around five to six in numbers, got down from the car and hacked the duo mercilessly with lethal weapons. Both murders have taken place at a distance of 200 meter apart.
Manja carried two murder cases on him. One of them is of a rowdy sheeter called Tablet Raghu. It is suspected that this double murder is done by the gang of Tablet Raghu in retaliation.
It is said that the killers were following Raghu and Naveen for quite a distance before the murder. The car was left on the spot of murder. Police have confiscated the car. The car is in the name of a person called Veerabhadraswamy.
Two separate cases are registered in J P Nagar and Puttenahalli police stations with regard to this double murder.
