Chikkamagaluru: Gangaiah Hegde, father of CCD founder Siddhartha, passes away

Chikkamagaluru, Aug 25: Gangaiah Hegde, father of Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) founder V G Siddhartha Hegde, died in a private hospital on Sunday, August 25. 

He was 96. 

Gangaiah Hegde was hospitalized much before Siddhartha killed himself by jumping off from the Netravati bridge at Mangaluru on July 31. 

Siddhartha had met his father in the hospital before he went to Mangaluru and ended his life. The death of Siddhartha Hegde was not conveyed to his father till the end.

Gangaiah Hegde, who was a coffee planter, was known as a benevolent man who cared for the well being of his employees. He was the one who mentored Siddhartha and lent money to him to found the CCD business empire.

    The picture of last meeting between father and son is heart-touching. While the father is on his death-bed, the son is thinking of ending his life that would come soon. One can see deep sorrow on Siddhartha's face. I feel very sorry for him as he could not face the situation and chose to end his life. May their souls rest in peace.

    Abdul...we do not have any right to judge others and declare moksha to them. Let it be handled up above itself as available a separate department for same. We can go on do our deeds on this earth. Way of viewing deeds is upto concerned to departmental heads who call meeting for same..where in good and bad is waived...according to there fixed norms.

    Sanjay...In God's Kingdom there is nothing like short-cut to end life by one self. Everybody wants to complete cycle which provided to each souls. There are many patients in hospitals are suffering from dreaded diseases..still they struggle blaming only on there fate. Person who choosen short cut wants to re-start from the beginning in next birth. Where is the question arises of moksha to these people..??
    No one can obtain moksha until and unless he prove good in all respects in higher level after going through cycle of life with re-births.

    In last meeting siddarth with father looks more of disturbed and not in good senses. His father looks like lead a sincere life throughout following good principle. Death of siddarth is become big blow to his father in law. We do not know what destiny demand. Some times one's death broke others.
