Vijayapura, Aug 23: The remarks made against newly appointed state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel by Basangouda Patil Yatnal, BJP MLA of Vijayapura city, did not go down well with minister and senior leader of state BJP K S Eshwarappa. He flayed Yatnal and said that the party high command does not need to seek Yatnal's advice on who should be the president of state BJP.
Basangouda Patil Yatnal had said that Nalin Kumar Kateel has not crossed River Tungabhadra and hence has no knowledge of the state.
Speaking to media on Thursday, August 22, Eshwarappa said, "It seems Yatnal has not learnt lessons from my advice in the past not to make any insensible comments,"

On questioning of the stand of the party on Jarkiholi family, Eshwarappa said that the party has no intention of finishing of the Jarkiholi family from politics. He assured that one member of Jarkiholi family will soon get a berth in the state cabinet.
Eshwarappa agreed that some of the BJP MLAs are disgruntled as they were not made ministers. But he also said that this feeling will subside as the days pass by.
The minister accused former Speaker Ramesh Kumar as an agent of the Congress party. Ridiculing the former Speaker, Eshwarappa said, "Ramesh Kumar thinks that he is second Ambedkar and the only person who knows the Constitution,”
In the meantime, Vijayapura MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal, in statement to the press on Thursday, August 22 said that he is just 54 and not 75 and that he will become the chief minister of Karnataka in future.
Speaking to the media persons Yatnal said, "I have neither involved in any scam nor facing any allegations of corruption. I have been recognized by people of the state as a Hindu leader. Why shouldn't I become CM?"
