Mangaluru, Aug 22: Konkani film ‘Nirmillem Nirmonem’, produced under Preston Enterprises banner, directed by Melwyn Elpel and produced by Henry D’Silva, will hit the screens on Friday, August 23. 

In a press meet held in city on Thursday, Henry D Silva, said “Nirmillem Nirmonem’ is all set for release this Friday. The release event will be held at Big Cinemas at 9.30 am and Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, Bishop Emeritus, Mangaluru Diocese will attend the event and bless the movie. Along with him prominent personalities of Konkani world will grace the event. The entire star cast will be present for the first show,” 

“‘Nirmillem Nirmonem’ is debut directorial venture for Melwyn Elpel in Konkani. Actors Pratap Menezes, Seema Buthello, Hera Pinto ,Vinny, Rony Suratkal, Meenakshi, Hambert Goa and other well-known names are in the cast,” Henry added. 

Pappan– Joswin duo has composed the music for the tunes and lyrics created by late Wilfy Rebimbus. R Manjunath is the cinematographer, he said. 

“The film is based on unique story on the obstacles and anxieties faced by the person looking for love. The songs and posters have already become a trend in social media and we, the team, have full confidence that people will move to theaters in large numbers for watch the movie, “he informed. 

Sharing his experience Melwyn Elpen, director said “It was wonderful experience working for a Konkani movie and I had memorable days with entire team. Producer himself has taken majority of production responsibilities and it made me free and helped to concentrate on the project. We tried to give best output and used modern technology for the film. It is a family entertainer and definitely it will attract the audience. Santhosh, Milan Markanja, Jerald and Rayan had joined with me as assistant directors. Norbert John has written the screenplay and co-director the film.”
