Bengaluru, Aug 21: The state high court has issued interim stay for the proceedings relating to criminal case that is in progress in the court of people's representatives here in a case filed against former minister, D K Shivakumar, and his close ones.
The income tax department had filed case against D K Shivakumar, and his close confidantes, Anjaneya, Hanumanthayya and N Rajendra and the case is before the court of people's representatives.
Shivakumar and other accused had filed application seeking to delete their names from the list of accused. The special court had dismissed the petition. Therefore they had filed review petition in the high court. The court, which heard them and issued interim stay, adjourned hearing of the case to September 4.
