Mangalore, Jun 23: Hemanth Hegde, actor and director of the Kannada film, ‘Houseful’ said here on Monday June 22 that the film is ready for release on Friday July 3 across the state.
Briefing about the film he said, “The film has come out as I wished it to. The film is 100 percent comedy and zero percent boring and is suitable for everyone in a family”.
‘Houseful’ is a comedy movie about two irresponsible youngsters who keep coming up with new ideas to please their girlfriends. This film produced by Anuj Saxena of ‘Maverick Productions’ who recently launched ‘Aloo Chaat’ in Hindi.
The film has music scored by Kiran and cinematography by Magi Natesh of the Tamil film industry.
Referring to the issue of Charlie Chaplin’s statue at Othinene near Kundapur, Hegde said that this troubled him greatly as it was his intention to honour a world famous actor. He added that the current plan involves erecting the statue at Innovative Film City in Bidadi, 40 kms away from Bangalore. The aim is to find a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
“The statue will be 62 ft in height and will be built using cement concrete and steel, which will cost about Rs 32 lac. I could have built a statue with Rs 3 lac, but the I had the idea that a permanent statue of the world famous actor will attract foreign visitors also as this would be the first of its kind in the world”, Hegde added.
“Diganth and Girija Oak are the main protagonists in ‘Houseful’. The latter is a Marathi actress also seen in Amir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’. Another heroine is Vishaka Singh, is making her debut in this film. Along with Uncle Lokanath, all major Kannada actors are part of this hilarious comedy” said Mala Setty, PRO for the film.
Hegde also acts in this film. He has to his credit three Kannada films and a Hindi film. He is also a familiar face in TV serials.
