Panaji: No break from rains for next five days in Goa

Panaji, Aug 17: Indian Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted that the light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at most places in Goa for next five days.

Goa has been witnessing heavy rains since last fortnight while the flood like situation in the state has eased out allowing the state government to begin the restoration work.

“Light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur at most places over north and south Goa for five days starting from August 17, 2019,” IMD’s bulletin which is released on Saturday evening reads.

The department has predicted that heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in the state for next five days.

The fishermen are advised not to venture in the Sea as rough to very rough sea conditions with wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 64 kmph is likely to prevail over South West Arabian sea during next five days.
