Puttur: Theft in jewellery shop - Gold worth over Rs 11 lac stolen

Puttur, Aug 16: Thieves entered a jewellery shop at Uppinangady and stole gold ornaments worth over Rs 11 lac on Friday, August 16.

This incident took place in R K Jewellers at around 3 am on August 16. The incident came to light in the morning.

The thieves, who got access by breaking the shutter of the shop have taken 300 grams of gold from the shop. The estimated value of the gold is Rs 11,69,100.

Police rushed to the spot as soon as they got the information. Search is one to apprehend the culprits.

    I never Knew burglary is so easy in 2019 with advanced anti theft technogy ..... and i always thought Most of jewellery for Goldemsits and Gold shop are stored in Showroom vaults.

    Only some people wake up at three a.m daily. Other's sleeping time dreaming future of nation. In kundapur at one a.m cattles stolen. At around four a.m cattle trafficking happened last time in perdoor. We keep vigil from one to four as prime time of thieves. May be they are doing night duty...and are sleeping at day time.
