Bengaluru, Aug 16: Karnataka chief minister, Y S Yediyurappa, travelled to Delhi on Thursday August 15 night to present two lists to the party high command on Friday morning. One of the lists is the demands about the flood devastation in the state and other one is proposed list of state ministry he wants to induct.
Yediyurappa is scheduled to meet Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, at 10 am on Friday and present a plea seeking central aid to manage flood-related losses in Karnataka. He will also meet the minister of state in civil aviation ministry and railway minister to discuss about railway projects in the state and building of proposed airport in Shivamogga in addition to others. He will stay for the night at Karnataka Bhavan at Delhi and meet party's national president and union home minister, Amit Shah, and discuss about the ministry expansion on Saturday.
Those who know Amit Shah's style of functioning feel that Shah might infuse a few people chosen by him by dropping a few selected by Yediyurappa. On Saturday, people of the state will come to know whether Yediyurappa would be joined by new colleagues on Monday. If Shah approves the list on Saturday, new ministers are almost sure to be administered oath on Monday. It is believed that even if certain changes are made in the list prepared by Yediyurappa, ministry expansion is almost certain to take place on Monday August 19 unless there are serious differences.
