Mangaluru, Aug 13: A 70-year-old Mangaluru resident, died during his Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca on Monday, August 13.
M M Bawa, a resident of Shediguri near Baikampady had left for Mecca in Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, three weeks back.
While performing ‘Jamarat,’ the ceremony where stones are thrown at three pillars which represent devil, Bawa started facing health complications.
He was admitted to King Fahad hospital in Mecca but his health started worsening. At around 3.30 pm on Monday, Bawa died.
His funeral will be held in Mecca.
