Byndoor, Aug 13: Policemen of Byndoor station have arrested six persons who were moving around in a Tavera vehicle and were targeting to steal cattle which are found by the roadsides at night. The arrests were made on Sunday August 11 night. The vehicle in which they were seated was also taken into possession by the police.
The police jumped into action after Byndoor police sub-inspector, Timmesh B N, got reliable information about the thieves on Sunday August 11.
The accused, equipped with lethal weapons, were moving around near Udoor junction at Shirur Toodalli junction. When this vehicle was stopped and a check was conducted, rope, cudgel, saber etc were found inside. During the questioning, those in the vehicle confessed that they were looking for cattle sleeping by the roadsides.
Muhammed Mubeen (29) from Bukhari Colony, Shirur, Yunus Mugudi (29), Muhammed Arafat (25), Maulana Qasim (29), Shabaz Muhammed Haneef (22) and Sheikh Muhammed Altaf (30) from Maidinalpura, Shirur, were arrested. The weapons they were in possession of were confiscated. A case was registered against them in Byndoor police station and the police have launched investigation.
