Bengaluru, Aug 13: The police officers, who probed the incident in which the telephone of city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao, had been reportedly tapped, have since submitted their report to Karnataka director general and inspector general of police Neelamani N Raju.
An audio reportedly containing conversations in which Bhaskar Rao reportedly was caught lobbying for the post of the city police commissioner had become viral a few days back. Bhaskar Rao had complained to the director general of police seeking investigation into the matter. He had expressed the suspicion that his telephone had been tapped and suspected that officers vested with powers to tap the phones would have misused it.

Under the instructions of Neelamani Raju, central crime branch additional commissioner, Sandeep Patil, and deputy commissioner of police, Ravi, held investigation. The information found by the investigators has been shared with the director general and inspector general of police Neelamani Raju, and city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao, sources stated.
It is said that the report contains names of certain officials who were involved with this wrongdoing. On the basis of the report, Neelamani Raju is expected to initiate steps shortly.
