Mangaluru, Aug 11: Police of the city had a testing time on Saturday, August 10, as they had to rush to Falnir in the city, as a concerned person made a call to the control room saying that a bundle of plastic is left on the roadside, which he presumed to be a bomb.

When the police arrived and checked, they found only garbage inside the plastic. The police suspect that the street dogs might have brought the plastic packet and put it on the road side.

Police had too many things on their hand on Saturday, August 10 as they were already on alert due to the protest that was being held against youth leader Dr Kanhaiya Kumar, who visited the city to deliver a talk. In addition, rain was playing havoc everywhere in the city with road blocks affecting traffic.

When police received the bomb call, they were naturally anxious and rushed to the spot to avoid any mishap. Fortunately, the bomb scare turned out to be a false alarm.
