Puttur: No traffic at night on Shiradi Ghat road till August 12

Puttur, Aug 9: Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil has banned traffic at night on Shiradi Ghat road till August 12 because of landslides and uprooting of trees obstructing traffic. 

Vehicles have lined up on Shiradi Ghat presently. The road connects Mangaluru and Bengaluru. The ban will be in force from 7 pm and 7 am till night of August 12. 


Passenger buses are exempted from the ban.

    KSRTC cancelled all buses on Friday night plying from Bangalore to Mangalore but private buses were moving on.
