Kundapur, Aug 6: The incidents of cattle theft are increasing day by day despite the parade of the offenders that was held recently in the district. Eight cases of cow thefts have been reported in the last three months. In the latest incident, the culprits stole cattle in a public place at Gulvadi near Neralakatte in the taluk. This incident has took place on the late night of Monday, August 5.

Raviraj Devadiga owns a Shamiyana shop at Gulvadi. He has fixed a CCTV camera in front of his shop and checks the footage religiously every day. Accordingly, he was checking the footage on Tuesday, August 6, when the incident of cattle theft has come to light. The incident took place at around 1.30 am.

As per the CCTV footage, two miscreants, who have covered their face with cloth, arrived to the spot opposite to the shop of Raviraj and tried to steal three cows that were sitting there. However, two cows escaped from the spot and one cow was taken by the thieves by tying a rope to it.

Raviraj Devadiga has filed a complaint in this regard in Kundapur rural police station. As the cows were roaming in public place, it is not known as to who is the owner of the stolen cow.

The locals are frustrated with these kinds of repeated thefts and have expressed their rage against the thieves and urged the police to take strict action.

We have grown up hearing Shravan Kumar story who belonged to the time when King Dashratha ruled Ayodhya. He was born of poor and blind parents, but they had brought him up remarkably well. He was strong healthy and honest, and he had a good character. He bore sincere love and respect for his parents. He was also a great devotee of God. Every day he worked hard to make his parents as comfortable and happy. In his leisure time, he prayed to God and attended to his poor, blind and aging parents.

Shravan Kumar Devotion towards his Parents is still nothing taught us, when we see people abandoning cows in the night that leading these type of theft to create communal tensions.

Do any who loves his mother, abandons speechless animals that we Indian worship as 'Gau Mata'?

If the animal keepers take care of their own livestock, is lynching is ever possible?

Cow worshippers should be jailed for 5 years if their cattle is seen loitering around the streets. This imposes a great threat to the human life.

Valid point and duly they have no moral right to blame others in such cases. Abandoning cows and wives has become trend in India. Farmers are abandoning outdated cattle due to heavy burden and can't afford like hundreds and thousands in UP still roaming in streets and destroying fields and deaths are become common in Goshalas due to hunger and ill treatment.

First all why are the owners leaving the cows outside on the road during night time
When i was night driving returning form Goa to mangalore i have seen hell lot of cows roaming in the roads posing a danger on highway
Why doesn't any of the organization,Police,Responsible departments tell the owners or seize these cows & keep them in safe place .
Whoever as done this theft is well planned .Lets not blame any religion unless we are sure .It can be anyone a coward he has masked his face .
The owner of the shop says he checks the footages everyday ...
May be but still must be he was aware of this would happen..
Anyway this should be investigate & culprit should be punished for theft .

What is the point of doing 5 times namaaz everyday and stealing cows in the night. In gulf countries stealing will lead to hand chopping as per shariah law, but here miscreants have no fear of law. Atleast our police should thrash them royally so that they cannot get up for a week.
