Mangaluru, Aug 3: MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mangaluru South, flagged off service of KSRTC Ambari dream class, a sleeper bus here at KSRTC bus stand on Saturday, August 3.
KSRTC Ambari dream class bus will ply between Mangaluru and Pune. The total cost of the bus worth Rs 1 crore.
Multi-axle buses have a length of 13.7 meters, while Ambari dream class buses are 14.5 meters in length. Dream class bus is a 40-seater. This is its first service from Mangaluru to Pune.
Compared to other KSRTC sleeper buses, the dream class bus is much comfortable for passengers to travel. The bus has plush interiors, classy look, spacious, mobile charging points, wide windows, roof window, emergency exit window, fire detection, suppression system and many more features.
As many as six dream class buses will arrive to Mangaluru. In the first phase, two buses have arrived and rest four buses will start its service soon from Mangaluru. From Mangaluru, the KSRTC is planning to ply these buses to Hyderabad, Tirupathi, Chennai, Mumbai and Ernakulam.
First service from Mangaluru to Pune
The first service from Mangaluru to Pune will commence from August 3. The bus will start at 4:30 pm from KSRTC Mangaluru and reach Pune the next day morning at around 6:30. From Pune, it will start from 6:30 pm and reach next morning to Mangaluru at 7 am. The bus fare cost Rs 1,350. The bus will travel from Mangaluru - Udupi - Kundapur - Bhatkal - Ankola - Belagavi - Kollapur - Sathara and reach Pune.
