“Film academy has conducted various activities in various places of Karnataka, such as St Aloysius College in Mangaluru, Moodbidri, Suratkal and Kundapur. Today, many actors, actresses, technicians, directors are emerging from coastal belt and are making name and fame in Sandalwood. Tulu movies are also gaining popularity, similar to the Kannada movies. At the same time, one should not concentrate on the quantity of the movies released but should focus on quality,” he said.
“Last year, we had conducted international film festival, where films from various corners of the world were shown to the people. It is an equal responsibility of producer and director to give quality movies. We have to conduct workshops to educate the producers and directors on what they can do and what they should not do," said Nagathihalli Chandrashekara.
He further said," Now other industries are looking towards us movies after the success of KGF. This movie was released in other languages and has become a success story. Now movies like Pailwan, Kurushetra are being released in other languages. Others are taking note of our industry and this proves that our Kannada movies are not inferior to movies of other languages,”
With regard to dubbing and remake, Nagathihalli Chandrashekara said, "As a director and writer, I do not prefer movie remakes. However, there is a provision of dubbing and people have accepted dubbed movies."
When asked about his upcoming movie India Vs England, Nagathihalli Chandrashekara said,"This is the story about British ruling our country and it is a re-visit based upon my daughter’s book longitude and latitude. The movie will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and will also have English subtitles,”
