Mangaluru: CCTV camera to be installed on Netravati bridge - MLA Vedavyasa Kamath

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Aug 2: The city south MLA D Vedavyasa Kamath said that he is mulling over getting a CCTV installed on Netravati bridge, which is on the way to Ullal from the city of Mangaluru and he will speak to the deputy commissioner in this regard in the coming days.

"Of late, Netravati bridge has become a danger zone. Incidents like suicides are taking place near the bridge. It will be convenient to see the happening immediately after the same has taken place. The time and effort of police department and district administration will not go as a waste as CCTV will give the clue.

“In addition, CCTV footage will help the family members and friends of people who disappear from the vicinity of the bridge. On the whole, action will be taken to install the CCTV by keeping the help it will render to the police department," said MLA Vedavyasa Kamath.

Putting nets around all rivers in Coastal Area and hiring fishermen 24X7 will be a better idea Mr.Kamath.

Fishermen can earn extra income too.

We slaute you for waking up from your dream not knowing what exactly is your responsibility towards the people of Mangalore.

Japan has seen the worst suicide rate for those under 20 in 2018. The youth suicide rate highest in 30 years. Despite having the best technology and progressive and developed nation the suicide rate in Asia, only South Korea has a higher suicide rate than Japan, according to the World Health Organization.

The nation is having one of the best technology adopted counseling services and 24 Hours helpline rather than watching someone trying to kill himself/herself.

The Cofee day founder opted for suicide due to financial constraint despite having the best business practices. Instead of correcting the government policies the BJP wanted a police state.

These BJP MLA's have applied so much 'Burnol' to others that, now their own thinking ability has diminished.

The Mangalore having one of the Coast Guard base unable to save the Billionaire businessman, how the CCTV can help to save a life?

Until now only farmers are suiciding in this nation. Now a successful businessman is opting for suicide.

It is a red flag for PM Modi's central government as well as state, easy off business as said is not working. The nation is heading for the financial crisis.

This is called progress under BJP. When there are so many other issues which can be done for the welfare of the living and all they can think of is installing CC TV's see how suicide is committed after it has happened. Well done !!!

First of all nethravathi bridge doesn't have any lights, even if they are, they are not working stones pelted by bachalis and proper warning signs. And you want cc tv camera installed. Intall one camera under pumpwell flyover also then because we don't know when people die because of incomplete infrastructure work. No sense india, I will give you one idea tie a big net across the river. So people don't throw last rites ashes also and polute the environment and also nobody will drown in the water one idea two jobs done.

    Sir

How CCTV camera ill help for suicides . It may help catch the thieves, Instead of this please think about a Fencing on both sides of all bridges for a height of 6 to 9 feet using Wire mesh so that no one can jump down from the present brigade. or else a safety guard of wire net under the bridge on both side such that any thing fall down from the bridge edges will not fall to the deep water.

by doing this it will help to avoid pollution as many of the peoples are throwing many waste material to rivers, which may be easily avoided.
Please think about his , several lives may be saved. Presently these type fencing is used across railway bridges , implement these to river bridges also
    Regards

No where its mentioned that its to prevent suicides. Its to make administration easier during such incidents instead of investigating in any other way. The administration can just think on suicide during such cases. and even this will help vehicles moved by causing any accidents too. it will be easier to determine as there are many vehicles on that road which blindly kill people and run away.

Why didn't you wake up when so many others jumped in the past 6 months??
Common man's life doesn't have any value?

Please get the potholes filled on the NH66, or are you waiting someone from BJP to sacrifice his/her life and only then fill it up??
