Kundapur, Jun 27: A stone edict that has been termed as very rare, has been found from an agricultural field at Baradkal Gadde near Kambala Gadde in Saukoor, Gulvady in the taluk.
The edict shows an elephant offering flowers to the Shiva Lingam. The Shiva Lingam, sun, moon, and letters carved on the stone have a faded appearance. As this edict is now located in a field full of slush, there is a need to conserve it immediately.
The edict was located from the Baradkal Gadde field. More information about the edict might emerge after experts study it.
Pradeep Kumar Basrur found this edict. Shankarnarayana Praveen, Appanna Shetty, and Surendra Shetty Gulvady extended support to him.
