Mumbai, Jun 26: Seven police women turned to be super heroes as they saved the life of a woman who fell unconscious at Dadar station here, on June 25.

The woman who identified as Nikita Dighe was a resident of Goregaon. She was visiting her relatives and had boarded CSMT local at 10am. By the time the train reached platform 3, Dighe fell unconscious. Her co-passengers raised an alarm out of fear that she suffered a heart attack.

Seven police women constables quickly came to her rescue and carried her across three platforms to the medical room, instead of awaiting a stretcher.

As per TOI report, senior inspector Prasad Pandhre said, “Police constables posted on platform no 3 rushed to the ladies' coach. They presumed that Dighe had suffered a heart attack and realized it would be folly to wait for help. Their male colleague made way for them, asking onlookers to disperse. The posse took an escalator at one platform and a flight of stairs at another. At the medical room on platform 6, Dighe was given CPR.”

Dighe’s sister was called and they were allowed to leave for home after Dighe was treated. The woman confirmed that she had not suffered a heart attack, but is grateful to the police that helped her.
