Mumbai, Jun 23: India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials on Saturday said Mumbai is likely to get significant rain in two days.
On June 22, the northern limit of south-west monsoon passed through Ratnagiri, Sangli, Adilabad, Bramhapuri (Vidarbha region) and Varanasi. The rain recorded in June so far by IMD Colaba and Santa Cruz is 127mm and 165.3mm. A significant amount of rain was also recorded over a week ago due to the presence of Cyclone Vayu in the Arabian Sea.
The last two days Mumbai have been comparatively dry, with maximum temperatures and humidity levels soaring. Maximum temperatures recorded by IMD Colaba and Santa Cruz hovered around 33 degrees.
