Mumbai, Jun 22: Two directors of Galaxy Group of Companies have been arrested by Maharashtra State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in a joint operation with Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
The accused, Ramkrishna Premchand Dube (58) and Satishchandra Bhagwati-prasad Mishra (65) were absconding for the past 20 years in an alleged case of cheating and misappropriation of Rs 7.08 crore. They were also wanted in 26 different offences and probe was underway by CID and other agencies.
As per Indian Express, in a CID press release it is stated that in 1999 the Galaxy Group of Companies had lured investors by promising to invest in high-return schemes and misappropriated Rs 7,08,49,266.
