Ponda, Jun 19: Speaking at the Revolution Day celebration at Kranti Maidan at Ponda on Tuesday, minister for art and culture Govind Gaude pointed out the importance of education as an effective medium to create a well-cultured society and its influence on overall growth and development of an individual.
Recollecting the contributions made by veteran freedom fighter and nationalist Ram Manohar Lohia for the freedom struggle movement of Goa, Govind Gaude said “the Indian Constitution has given fundamental rights to every citizen and it will be a befitting tribute to Ram Manohar Lohia if every citizen is aware of his/her rights,” as reported in TOI.
Ponda MLA Ravi Naik and Ponda deputy collector Kedar Naik also paid tributes to the martyrs.
