Maharashtra: Elderly woman killed by her Husband, Son and Daughter-in-law

Mumbai, Jun 12: In a shocking and inhuman act, an elderly woman was allegedly killed by her husband, son and daughter-in-law in her home today in Ganeshpur area of Aurangabad.

Bhavsingh (65), his son and daughter-in-law have been arrested for allegedly killing his wife Mehar (63) and burning her body. Following a heated argument on May 24 Bhavsingh, his son Raisingh and daughter-in-law Sangeeta allegedly beat Mehar until she was unconscious, once she became unresponsive the culprits took her body to their farm and burnt it, said the police.

“They allegedly assaulted her with a stick as well as their fists and legs. However, after assaulting her for a while, the three thought she had died as she fell unconscious. Following this, they took her body to their farm using their bullock cart… We have recovered the stick they used,” said Assistant Inspector Jagdish Pawar.

As per police, the accused confessed that they decided to burn the body fearing punishment. The three have been booked under sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.

    Very unhuman,tragody .very very sad how own people have treated her.I am sure they too will face the same when they are in her age and stage.It doesnt miss.Nowadays killing and maltreating old people has increased.either out of money greed .land ,one doesnt give importance to senior persons.Hope they all face a hard punishment .what was the reason of hitting her snd burn?may her soul rest in peace.
