Mumbai, Jun 7: Aarey police on Thursday arrested a teenager from Allahabad for the murder of his own father. As per police, Ajay Pandey (19) was angry about his father Ramayan (45), a watch man, having an affair. Police suspected Ajay’s connection with the crime when they found him not grieving at his father's death.
"We found it strange that his son, Ajay, did not grieve at losing his father. On checking Ajay's cellphone location, we found that he was in Aarey on the day his father was murdered. On interrogation, he admitted that he had committed the murder along with two of his friends. The two accomplices, Vinay Singh, 39, and Sureshkumar Yadav, 22, were taken into custody along with Ajay," said sub-inspector Avdhut Wadikar, Aarey police, as reported in TOI.
Ramayan’s body was found around 10.30pm on June 5 at Aarey Colony, with his throat slit open and injuries in stomach and chest. Police got in touch with Ramayan's family through the mobile phone that was found in his pocket.
