Kundapur, Apr 27: The Congress Party can not appeal the educated voters, as its campaigns are not backed by any achievements, said minister Krishna J Palemar, speaking at the electioneering meeting held in the premises of Deeti Sri Hire Mahalingeshwara temple of Bijoor village, Byndoor on Sunday April 26.
Appealing for votes on behalf of Shimaga Lok Sabha BJP candidate B Y Raghavendra, he commented that zero achievement is the only performance of the Congress Party.
The BJP government has prohibited alcohol and lottery. It has provided facilities such as loans and free electricity to farmers, loans to fishermen with low interest, and various other schemes like ‘Sandhya Surakha’, ‘Bhagyalakshmi’ and ‘Matyashraya’ scheme within eight months of its existence as a ruling party in the state, he explained.
The Congress, which spent nearly 60 years as the ruling party of the country, gifted people with terrorism, price hike and communal conflicts, he criticized.
Later, gram panchayat member Govinda Devadiga and 20 other local leaders joined the BJP, on the occasion.
