Mangalore, Apr 25: People have lost hopes on the administration run by the Congress and the BJP, hence they are looking out for an alternative choice like the Third Front, said Abdul Azim, JDS vice-president, speaking at a press conference held here on Friday April 24.
The Third Front candidates will win with big margins all over the country and a JDS member of parliament is sure to be elected as the next Prime Minister of the country, he predicted.
The disturbances and incidents of harassment of certain communities and women that took place in the city, were so grave that such things had never occurred any other districts so far. Hence, the peace-loving people of the city are sure to support the Third Front candidate B Madhava, to ensure that such incidents do not recur, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, veteran JDS leader Subbaiah Shetty said that the minorities have developed an apprehension about their safety in the city and that the Congress has failed to provide security to them. The BJP is responsible for evoking communal passions in the city, he said.
JDS leaders Abubakkar Natekal, Aslam and M B Sadashiva were present at the press conference.
