Mangalore, Apr 25: If L K Advani becomes the Prime Minister (PM), communal clashes will occur everywhere in the country. Not only the minorities, even Hindus will find living in the country a daunting task, commented state president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Marasandra Muniyappa. He was addressing a press conference convened at the Press Club here on Friday April 24.
"It would be wrong to construe Congress as a secular party. If it rises to power, the situation in the country will not improve. Both the BJP and Congress have similar agendas. The BSP is sure to win a sizeable number of seats this time," he said.
Muniyappa also said that the party has taken initiative to issue tickets to candidates from the downtrodden and neglected castes and classes. The BSP is contesting in all the constituencies in the state, he added.
He asked the voters of the constituency to elect BSP candidate Girish Rai towards brightening the possibility of the BSP forming government at the centre.
State secretary of the party P Velayudhan, candidate Girish Rai, district vice president P A Rahim an district general secretary M Koosappa were present at the press conference.
