Panaji, May 15: All the witnesses in the rape case involving Congress candidate Atanasio Monserratte should be provided protection, NGO Hope Foundation demanded today.
Andrea Pereira, Director of Hope Foundation, told a press conference that State government should provide adequate protection to all the witnesses in the case after the disappearance of the victim girl.
She also demanded that all the people related to the case including accused, witnesses, NGO and others should be questioned by police as a part of their investigation.
Pereira said that they would be seeking appointment with Chief Minister requesting him to provide the protection.
The NGO has volunteered to have the custody of the victim, if state provides her the security.
Pereira has said that the girl should be immediately traced and kept under proper protection.
