Mumbai, May 1: South Asian meeting in preparation for FABC (Federation of Asian Bishop's Conference) 2020 was held in Mumbai on April 29 and 30. Apostolic nuncio Gian Battista di Quatro, Cardinal Oswald Gracias, Cardinal Allencherry, other five archbishops and bishops, and representatives from various conferences were present from South Asia.
Auxiliary Bishop Alwyn D’Silva of Mumbai coordinated the meeting efficiently. The three national presidents of religious brothers, priests and sisters and national secretary also participated.
Sr Rose Celine BS, superior general of the congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangaluru, Karnataka, participated in it in the capacity of president of National Conference of Religious (Women's section). The challenges facing the church in Asia and responses in order to make the church relevant to the times were discussed.
