Saligao, Apr 29: Anjuna police on Sunday identified the body of a domestic tourist found dead at an international hotel as Alka Saini of Himachal Pradesh, 25.
The body was first found by a maintenance staff of the resort when he opened the room for cleaning. Saini’s body has been sent to Goa Medical College and Hospital for postmortem and further investigation is under way.
The police sources later informed that Saini had checked into the hotel with her husband, who is absconding right now.
Anjuna station in charge, Navlesh Desai said, “We will try to gather intelligence based on CCTV footage and interrogate her husband, who was with her at the hotel when the murder occurred. He however, is absconding.”
