Even politics has reached IPL. Its a proxy war between BJP and Congress. I hope the IPL in South Africa should be a flop show. It is the arrogance of Lalit Modi which will lead for the failure of the IPL-II season.

Cricket is ruling !!!!! Cricket could have been postponed, not the election. I think this is the only sport which has not hit by the recession. There are lot of other issues to be solved. Few politicians are unnecessarily commenting on this.

I think Mr Ajith Kumar has got a valid reason when he says that IPL going to SA is unacceptable & that the BCCI should be taken to task . I hope the authorities think above politics (sharad pawar) & start thinking about making a law wherein precious revenue generated whatever it may be does not go to another nation .

This I think is traitorship at its highest level . The IPL are the real 'gaddars' . I wish & hope that the govt brings in a legislation to prevent such things happening in the future . Now that since Lalit Modi has got his revenge for the Congress bringing him down in the Rajasthan cricket board elections ,its time now for Congress to retaliate . I think the authorities or the higher ups involved in decision making first of all should have a ground committee to view & review all electronic paper letters & blogs to gather feedback and act .

I think all the good Indian citizen should now choose to sit and watch election news which is definitely important and count number of security issues happening even after the gov provide full security only for the election. Let’s forget IPL because it is no more a domestic cricket. IPL leaders shall not be this adamant, they put shame on us (forget any political parties because none of them care about shame). IPL members should have thought about election well in advance.

Govt of India should have made it clear initially that govt is not "afford!" to provide security for any thing else during the election time. Now it’s pretty clear about India and Indian security / Intelligence systems and of course the real super power of India. No doubt, I love my India.

Our Bharatratna players should stand up and say that they will not play IPL if played outside India. These guys only speak of national integrity, national pride etc but when its time to prove they back track. This is the best time to show your love for your country, its values, faith in the indian system etc but where are our big players. They have the capacity to say no to IPL but they will not because money is big. What about these franchisee they too are same because they will loose money they say SA is good venue. I feel it is is not IPL so I am not interested in watching it or following it either, not because of the game but because of the attitude of all involved in the game.

So now the name should be changed to SA-IPL, South African-Indian Premier League. But anyway I think it is the right decision. Prevention is better than cure. If we cant give security it is better to be shifted. If we go ahead with the IPL in India and if some untoward incident happens it will be a big shame to our country.

IPL organisers should be ashamed of themselves. Its the INDIAN premier League, not the INDIANS IN SOUTH AFRICA premier league. I dont think there will be much TV interest. The interest in IPL was that the public could go and see the matches and support their city have entertainment. BCCI has lost the plot.

I am glad that IPL matches playing here in South Africa. We will attend as many as matches. But I am skeptical about the stadium filling. The IPL match timings (suited to Indian viewers) will not suit to local spectators because majority of them at work. Any way best wishes to IPL.

if seen from a point of view of a foreign national who sees all this from the outside irrespective of all the politics taking place on IPL, this creates a notion of India which is not sure about providing security to its citizen and to the events happening in India...what would v as an Indian woud have said had say Srilankans moved a tournament outside of it to some other country bcoz of its inability to provide security...i for one wud have felt very unsafe going to such a country....THE BOTTOM LINE IS: IF THEY CUD HAVE RISEN ABOVE PETTY POLITICS AND BLAME GAME EVERYTHING CUD HAVE BEEN MANAGED PROPERLY

IPL is just a game that we watch. our country is going to face an election which is very crucial at this juncture of terrorism. i love cricket very much. But is cricket is everything. it is just one of the games that we enjoy. as a citizen of this great democratic country our first duty is to ensure that general election is going on smoothly with out any threat. so country's entire concentration is required to safe gaurd the democracy during this crucial moments. so IPL should be postponed. shifting of IPL to SA is not at all acceptable. who gave the power to BCCI to demorile the nation's image. Sack BCCI if law permits. Jai hoooooooooooo.
