‘Antakarana’ by Yashwant Chittala Released in Metro

‘Antakarana’, a book by noted litterateur Yashwant Chittala was released recently in a function held at the Karnataka Sangh auditorium here. 

The programme was organized by Karnataka Sangh as part of the platinum jubilee celebrations and by the Mumbai Kannada Writers Forum. 
 
Veteran story writer, critic, and Kuvempu University professor Rajendra Chenni, after releasing the book said that Chittala is an accomplished writer in Kannada who has explored love, compassion, and characters. 



Chenni said that he has proved through his works that excellent material emerges when confronted with adversity and complexity and has attempted to convey his inner voice in facing the trials and tribulations of his times, through various characters.
 
Chittala said that the only way to reach God is through understanding fellow men and said that literature does the job of understanding fellow human beings. 

He further added his lonely, retired life inspires him to ink his thoughts and said that the support of friends is also essential in compiling literature.
 
Karnataka Sangh president Manohar M M Kori welcomed the gathering.  Vice-president Bharat Kumar Polipu compered the programme.  Honourary secretary Omdas Kannangar proposed the vote of thanks.
