Surgical strikes laid foundation of New India: Modi

Panaji, Apr 11 (IANS): The twin surgical strikes conducted by the Indian armed forces under the leadership of late Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, laid the foundation for 'new India's new principle and new policy", Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday.

"The surgical strikes which were carried out in his (Parrikar's) tenure, laid the foundation of New India's new principle and practice. The message that India can now attack terrorists in their own home, resonates clearly in front of every country in the world," the Prime Minister said.

Modi, who was in Goa to address an election campaign rally at an indoor stadium near Panaji, also said he was proud of the fact that he, along with Parrikar, got the opportunity to give a new direction to India's defence doctrine.

"I am proud that I got the opportunity to work along with a colleague like Manoharji and got the opportunity to give new direction to India's defence doctrine," Modi said.

Former Goa Chief Minister Parrikar, who died on March 17 after a prolonged battle with advanced pancreatic cancer, served as Defence Minister from 2014-2017.

Modi Ji stop using the Armed Forces to prop up your dwindling political fortunes.

The people have seen through your Jhumla as you have nothing concrete to talk about your five years rule except inflicting misery on the masses.

"This government has been a failure on all fronts and has inflicted pain and misery on the people through its reckless decisions of demonetisation and hasty imposition of a flawed GST, demonetization and GST disrupted the economy, trade and industry, led to closure of lakhs of factories and tens of millions of workers lost their jobs and livelihood. The unprecedented joblessness, agrarian crisis and distress of farmers and agricultural laborers are issues of grave national concern. The Modi government is guilty of monumental mismanagement of the Indian economy.

No accountability at all for corruption during the last five years. Corruption has become rampant across the country. After the next Govt is formed all the skeletons in the BJP vast array of hidden cupboards will be exposed including the Rafale Scam.

Modi Sarkar Ko Hatao. Desh Ko Bachao. They should be made accountable for over 100 deaths in ATM Ques after the Demoitisation.
