Mumbai, Feb 24: The annual day celebrations of Veera Kesari Kala Vranda was held at Billava Bhavan Guru Narayan Auditorium, Santacruz (East), here on Sunday February 22 afternoon.
 
Dhiraj Ramesh Real Estate Developers proprietor Ramesh K Shetty and Jayanti R Shetty couple and Naveen Kundar were the chief guests.  Mogaveera Yuvaka Sangha president Damodar D Karkera, Nationalist Congress Party Mumbai Pradesh Committee secretary Vishwanath Shetty Kalattoor and Janata Education  Society - Bandra secretary Rajesh Kotian were the guests of honour on the occasion.
 

Eminent litterateur and poet B S Kurkal presided over the programme.  Sudhir G Amin and Veda Madhav Suvarna were honoured for their metro-wide campaign against all forms of terrorism.  Metro's promising tennis player Riddi Ravi Hegde was also felicitated for her feat in the international arena.
 
'Hiriyara Kavithege Kiriyara Pallavi' poets' session, sponsored by Money Fold Finance director Suresh Bhandary, was held on the occasion. Ramesh K Shetty and  Jayanti R Shetty couple were the chief guests of the occasion while Naveen Kundar was the guest of honour.
 
Shreya Poojary, Adish Shivapura and Nisha S Poojary recited their poems on the occasion. 
 
Vaishnavi Shetty conducted the children's poetry session. 
 
'Veera Kesari' president Ramesh Karkera welcomed the gathering.  Honorary chief secretary Vishwanath Shetty compered the cultural programmes.  Naveen J  Karkera compered the stage programme. 
 
A group dance was staged by Vaishnavi V, Tripti, Ankita Rai, Rushika, Hitesh, Nischita, Tushar and others.  Prerana Nidi Balaga and Prajna Alva Balaga staged a  dance recital while Veera Kesari Kala Vranda women members presented filmy dance performance.
 
'Enkulu Matha Nirekare', a Tulu play was staged by Saptaswara Kala troupe, as part of entertainment programme.
