Mangalore, Feb 17: "Write about health and health conservation. But desist from writing on the symptoms of ailments that may cause undue apprehensions or create jitters in the minds of the general public," advised retired vice-chancellor of MAHE University and veteran medical practioner Prof B M Hegde. He added, the medical field witnesses fast-paced changes and several things mentioned in a book become redundant before it is released in the market. Hence, those writing books on them should be very careful not to give rise to unreasonable fear in the minds of the people, he insisted. Medical practice should never be construed as business, he cautioned.
