Mangalore: Art for Peace, Harmony Camp at Kalaangann on Feb 17

Mangalore, Feb 13: Chair in Christianity Mangalore University, Dharma Samanvaya, Mandd Sobhann and Orchid Art Gallery, will be jointly organizing a camp on 'Art for peace and harmony' on Tuesday February 17, at Kalaangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, here.
Internationally renowned artiste Peter Lewis will inaugurate the camp on Art for peace and harmony at 10.00 am on Tuesday February 17.
The exhibition of art works of the camp will be held at 6.00 pm on Tuesday. The paintings of Anil Devadiga, Jeevan Salian, Purushottam Adve, Vasanth Rao Udupi, Praveen Kumar Udupi, Kandan G K, Wilson JP, Arnab Mitra, Permude Mohan Kumar, Sushanto Chattopadhyay, Vishwas, Swapna Noronha, Jayvant, Prasad Rao Manipal, Syed Asif Ali, N S Pattar, Ravi M R and Santhosh Andrade will be displayed at the occasion.
A cultural show by Mandd Sobhann led by Eric Ozario will be staged at 6.00 pm. The exchange of views at Kalasangama, a meeting of thinkers, artists and social activists will be held at 7.15 pm, followed by fellowship meal at 8.00 pm.
Art for peace and harmony is being organized in the backdrop of communal conflicts and imbalance of eco-environment threatening the undivided district of Dakshina Kannada. It will focus on the artists, poets, singers, dancers, musicians, actors, writers, sculptors and social activists' response in restoring peace in the society and harmony with nature. Internationally renowned artistes Jyoti Sahi and Peter Lewis will guide the painters. Well known performing artiste Eric Ozario will lead the artists from Mandd Sobhann.
