Youth to take centre stage at LIC-Gateway LitFest


Mumbai, Feb 28 (IANS): Over 60 writers, representing 22 Indian languages, will gather to discuss and share views on literary trends in language writings at the two-day LIC Gateway LitFest, starting Friday, at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) here.

The attraction this year will be around 40 winners of Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar, who will be participating in the fifth edition of the festival.

Themed around "Youth Power in Indian Literature", the festival will celebrate the achievements of young writers in diverse literary streams.

Prominent speakers include Padma Shree awardee and Sahitya Akademi President Chandrashekhara Kambar, Paul Zacharia, Perumal Murugan, Ranjith Hoskote, Manu Pillai, and S. Harish, among others.
