Mangaluru, Feb 23: Dakshina Kannada district working journalist’s association has selected Vartabharathi daily newspaper sub editor Imtiaz Shah Tumbe for Pa Go award this year.

The award is given for special report by Imthiaz ‘Koduva Kaigaligagi Kayuthiruva Kodagu’ (Kodagu waiting for giving hands). The article was published in Vartabharathi on August 31, 2018. The selection committee of veteran journalist Surendra Shetty, Reshma G Ullal and lecturer Dr Moulya Jeevan has selected the report by Imthiaz for the award which consists of Rs 10,001 cash, an award panel and a memento.

“The award ceremony will be held at Mangaluru press club on February 27 at 11 am. Dakshini Kannada district information officer K Rohini will present the award. Dakshina Kannada working journalists association president Srinivas Nayak will preside,” said association chief secretary Ibrahim Adkastala in a press release.
