Kundapur, Feb 22: On the background of the rumours of the probability of Shobha Karandlaje, sitting MP of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency, getting a ticket to contest again this time, the BJP activists have started a twitter campaign saying 'Go Back Shobha' from Thursday, February 21.
More than 1500 people have tweeted within two hours of the beginning of this campaign. The BJP activists started the Twitter trend campaign accusing that "Last time around, we voted because of Modi wave. This time we want local BJP candidates to become Member of Parliament. Shobha Karandlaje has not visited the constituency. She has not asked the grievances of the voters. The national highway work is not completed. We do not have any issue with local candidate. We will support him or her. If Shobha is given ticket, we will not support her. Only locals become the voice for our issues. We have spent five years as if we do not have an MP for our constituency."
It needs to be seen as to what decision the BJP will take as the BJP party workers themselves are opposing the candidature of sitting BJP MP. It also needs to be seen how the party will pacify the warring workers and win their confidence.
On Thursday, February 21, attention was sought on Twitter by the BJP activists when there was news that BJP national president Amit Shah would visit Bengaluru for the meeting related to the selection of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.
