Hubballi, Feb 21: "Prime minister Narendra Modi has not fulfilled the promises he made to the public of the country. So Rahul Gandhi will become the next PM of the country," said Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to the media, Siddaramaiah, further said, "I have said that Modi is not going to be the prime minister once again because of the failures of his government. He has not fulfilled the promises made to the people of this country. In addition, Rahul Gandhi is the prime ministerial candidate of our party. He only is the next prime minister of our country."
"Preparations are on for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. No decision is taken yet with regards to the sharing of seats between Congress and JD (S). There is a demand that Priyanka Gandhi must be called to the state for the campaignng. She is conentrating more on Uttar Pradesh. If time permits, we will call her to Karnataka also. Sumalata Ambarish had met me yesterday. She also told me that she will tour the Manday Lok Sabha constituency. No discussion is held with regards to the elections," added Siddaramaiah.
Concluding his statement, Siddaramaiah said, "I am not aware of the contest of Devegowda from the Mysore constituency. Nobody is a beggar in the coalition government. We will coordinate with regards to the sharing of seats. The JD (S) leaders have said that they will speak to Rahul Gandhi with regards to the sharing of seats. I have noted the statement given by Revanna."
