Udupi, Feb 16: Film star Puneeth Rajkumar arrived at Sri Krishna Math here on Saturday and visited the deity. He donated gold and cash for Suvarna Gopura planned by Paryaya Swamiji. He started the rolling machine specially brought from Rajkot for preparing gold sheet.
“The day we lost our soldiers is the day of darkness. Soldiers go through hardship on the borders for us. Whatever I speak of them is less. We have lost a proud son of Mandya,” the actor told reporters.
“While I feel sad, I feel the pain that we are unable to do anything. What the government does at the moment is not important. What we have done to that country is important. Let us join and do something for that country,” Rajkumar told reporters.
“I had visited Krishna math several times along with Appaji. I cannot forget those days,” he said. He expressed his gratitude to people for making film Natasarvabhouma a success.
Mumbai’s entrepreneur Adarsh Shetty, actor’s private secretary Neelakanta Veeraswamy, Paryaya math manager Venkataramana Acharya, PRO Srisha Bhat Kadekar, Suvarna Gopura work supervisors Sachidananda Rao, Venkatesh Bhat and others were present.
