Media Release

Mangaluru, Feb 10: Over the years, Mangaluru cops have worked hard on all celebratory occasions especially Valentine’s Day ensuring people are safe and their celebrations are not affected by miscreants.

The unique event by Lee Entertainments, Arena Animation in association with Daijiworld aims celebrate those who has chosen to serve the community as cops, who work all day and night so that citizens can live peacefully. The cops who stick on to the streets ensure that citizens reach their destination on time with safety on their back.

February 14 is celebrated as Valentine’s Day every year as a day devoted to loved ones. It is believed that Valentine’s Day is the right occasion to express love. People celebrate this day to express their feelings to their admirer and some fall back on the streets to protest.

People across the world pull out their time to greet and spend time with their admirers on Valentine’s Day. But cops are assigned with special and extra task. They put their lives on the line for people on that day. They’ve got a tough job to do to maintain public safety and hold accountable those who break the law. Being a good cop is one of the most difficult, dangerous, idealistic jobs in the world. But what they get in return? Only some cliché lines and aversion from people. They do not get enough affection and love.

The focal motto of this unique campaign is to manifest charm and love to the cops in city, by handing a token of love and making them feel special. Campaign will start on February 14 with local personalities, youth and people across the city. The campaign will be aired on social handles of ‘Lee Entertainments’.

Every day, in every city and town across the country, police officers are performing vital services that help make their communities safer. So now the campaign aims to gather citizens who can dedicate some precious time from their daily schedule to honour them with pride.

“Let your favourite policemen know that your heart fills with love and pride when you think of them," say the organisers.

Indeed the Police are playing their roles very well and safeguarding the interests of the people in general and of Mangaloreans in particular.

I have been associated with the Police Department for the past several decades and I have pleasant memories of most of them.

As a chief Traffic Warden Mangaslore City I do interact with The Police to guard and protect the citizens of Mangalore.

I join several others in saying HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to Every one connected with the Police Department.
