Mangaluru, Feb 10: The family day event was held at St Ann's Kindergarten, Kuntikana on Saturday, February 9.
Parish priest of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail, Fr Austin Peter Peres, actor Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, actress Navya Poojary and director Prashanth were among the guests of honour.
Actor Bhojaraj Vamanjoor said, "I have never seen such a warm welcome in any programme. It was quite different. Programmes like these are a platform for students to exhibit their talents. This school has given such platforms for students.
“Education is always important and children should study. Education is the only one which lasts long in your life. Parents should also encourage them to study and indulge in other curricular activities,” he said.
Actress Navya Poojary said, “I am very privileged to be part of this programme. School is the place where we learn basic things. We gather a lot of memories from school. I wish all the best for the students for their future.”
Fr Austin Peter Peres said, "The Family Day is a good theme organised by St Ann’s Kindergarten. Love is the root of family life, and family is the place where there is acceptance, learning and value for life.
Headmistress Sr Lorenza D Souza welcomed the gathering, Vineetha D’Cunha rendered the vote of thanks and Caron compered the programme.
