Bengaluru: South interior Karnataka gets rainfall - to continue for two more days

Bengaluru, Feb 10: On account of low pressure area created in Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka, many areas within south interior Karnataka got good rainfall on Saturday. The meteorological department expects rains to continue for two more days.

Some parts of the state have been experiencing rains because of surface wind and low atmospherical pressure situation. As the low pressure phenomenon has now extended to Tamil Nadu, south interior parts of the state got more rainfall, the meteorologists stated.

Parts of Mysuru, Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada received good rains on Saturday, resulting in cooling of temperature in these and adjoining areas.

Bengaluru in particular, which was experiencing hot weather after a period of comfortable conditions, got heavy rainfall coupled with wind. Low-lying localities got waterlogged, and several trees got uprooted as a result.
