Bengaluru: Rahul and Gowda together to decide seat sharing in state

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Feb 10: Former chief minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, said at New Delhi on Saturday February 9 that the seat sharing arrangement between the Congress and JD(S) would be worked out by national presidents of these two parties, Rahul Gandhi and H D Deve Gowda. He asserted that no one else would be involved in the process and this issue will not even be discussed in the coordination committee meeting.

He was speaking after meeting Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dinesh Gundu Rao. He expected the list of Lok Sabha candidates to be ready by the end of this month. Karnataka Congress affairs state in-charge, K C Venugopal, would be involved in the process, he added.

It is said that Rahul Gandhi instructed the state leaders to prepare for the election in right earnest from now onward, as the election is likely to be announced by March end. The task at hand for the party is trickier this time, as the workers and leaders of the two parties need to be mentally prepared to coordinate election campaigning together. The two leaders brought to the notice of Rahul Gandhi about the current affairs in the state, Operation Lotus, joint session, incidents related to budget session and other things.

K C Venugopal and Congress spokesperson, Randeep Surjewala, who have accused both Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and BJP national president, Amit Shah, of trying to topple the government in Karnataka, have announced that the audio tape issue would be raised in the parliament in an attempt to embarrass the BJP.

Mr. Gowda's eye is on PM position for his party. Next PM of India will be someone from South India. Either Mr. C B Naidu Or HDK. Congress will not have majority to form the government.
