The deceased has been identified as Asha Gollara (18), a resident of Gollara Bidara, Hirur in Hanagal. She hanged herself when she was alone at home on Friday.
Background of the incident:
There is a temple beside the house of Puttappa Gollara, father of Asha. A few leaders of the community had asked Puttappa to give up his land for the temple but he refused to their demands.
