Mangaluru: Shop owner accuses tahsildar of conducting raid for revenge

Mangaluru, Feb 6: A person who owns a shop at Chilimbi in Urwa has filed a complaint against a gram panchayat accountant, a cop attached with Urwa police station and two other people for entering his shop without permission and damaging his property.

In his written complaint to the DK deputy commissioner, inspector of Urwa police station and tahsildar, the shop owner Supreeth said that the gram panchayat accountant along with other people entered his shop without permission or legal notice and damaged his property on February 5.

The shop owner has accused the tahsildar for sending a team to conduct raid, only with an intention to cause trouble to him. Supreeth has written that the team vandalized his property and damaged the shop building.

It is learnt that there is a dispute between the shop owner and Mangaluru City Corporation and the matter is being heard in court.
