Yatish Kanchan and Bharat Poojary
Two young men, Yatish Kanchan and Bharat Poojary, were murdered on January 26 for silly reason in a savagely manner. In a case filed in Kota police station, Rajashekhar Reddy, Chandrashekhar Reddy, and four others were named as accused. Condemning the failure of the police to arrest the accused, who have gone missing, voluntary Kota bandh had been organised on February 3 under the aegis of different organizations. Leader of the opposition in the state assembly, Kota Srinivas Poojary, had said that he would personally meet the chief minister and pursue the case through him, if the main accused persons are not arrested by February 6.
The information received claims that the police who conducted detailed search, had succeeded in taking into custody three of the main accused from Sira near Tumakuru. It is said that the police are not coming out with this information as they are apprehensive that it might hit the ongoing probe.
However, when contacted, district superintendent of police termed this as unsubstantiated rumour and denied having arrested any persons relating to the above case.
