Mumbai, Feb 5: Kannada Bhavan education society high school and junior college celebrated their 57th anniversary at Alexandria Girl’s High School auditorium, VT on Sunday, February 3.
Sarvajnya Vidyapeeta Virar chancellor and Kannada Bhavan retired principal Acharya Prahalacharya R Nagarahalli who was the chief guest inaugurated the programme and released the annual magazine ‘Madhuravani’.
Kannada Bhavan education society executive president A B Shetty chaired the programme. Srikrishna Vittala Prathistana Mumbai founder Vidwan Kairabettu Vishwanath Bhat blessed the occasion. He said that everybody should learn at least three languages. They are mothertongue, national language and English to get himself identified in the world.
Education society vice president Dayananda B Ameen, Keshava K Kotian and honorary chief treasurer Purushotham M Poojary were present. Students presented dances. Kala Saurabha Mumbai team presented a combination of singing and dances ‘Sangeetha Shringara’ in the direction of Padmanabha Sasihitlu.
Artistes of Kala Saurabha sang a prayer song. Principal L Radhakrishnan welcomed the gathering. Honorary chief secretary Shekar A Ameen delivered an introductory address. Vanathi Shetty introduced the guests. Amratha Shetty compered the programme. Vittal Manore proposed the vote of thanks.
